Flying over Rural New Jersey
This is a glider flight over the area near the Delaware Water Gap and Blairstown, New Jersey. The Kittatinny Ridge carries the Appalachian Trail through most of New Jersey. At about 6 minutes is a good shot of the Water Gap and I-80 passing through. From there, we circled around and around gradually back to the Blairstown glider port. This is a GREAT way to fly! NO NOISE. NO WIND!
Paul just took me up again in October 06. The colors are great and in some still photos linked from me3tv.com channel 973 (see october archives). More about Paul Avery’s business here: http://www.alphapointtechnology.com/pn/index.php

wow man………. thats just awesome
I live on Wishing …
I live on Wishing Well Road. I’m sure my house is on the video. Most of the gliders circle right above our house. I have the most amazing photos of my house under construction from when I was in the glider.
Yes the camera was …
Yes the camera was handheld out the window! The nice thing about a glider is there is very little wind because you are “floating WITH” the wind. You can’t do this in a powered airplane. Glad you enjoyed it. Maybe I will add some more of my aerial stuff.
Very nice video. …
Very nice video. Wekk edited too. There is a lot of interesting stuff on youtube but most folks have no feel for film making and we are subject to long shots that put you to sleep. This is a real film. The music makes you float. How in the world did you get the outside shots? Is the camera being hand held out the window.
To all those people …
To all those people who joke that NJ is only what they see on the Turnpike passing through — take a look at the beautiful farmland and greenery as far as the eye can see! This is what NJ looks like in a lot of areas of our state! Why else would it be named “The Garden State” ?? lol
Thank you Paul …
Thank you Paul Avery for this video! It must have been so cool to have the birds eye view! I grew up in Blairstown on Walnut Valley Road off of Rte. 94, & my parents still live there. I know you must have flown over them during part of this flight. Now I’m homesick! I’m 81 miles away in Bucks Cty., it’s nice, but I miss the Delaware Water Gap area, it’s beautiful!
