  1. rain alone causes …
rain alone causes runoff from your garden naturally which is ok. what i was concerned about was her washing her paint brushes or any non-organic chemicals going into the local water sources. pets and small animals could try to drink water from the driveway as well. other than that this woman is a saint and an inspiration to me.

  2. Good thinking — be …
Good thinking — be aware of what you’re sending into your local waterway. I suppose runoff from your garden (if you didn’t use pesticides) is okay?

  3. don’t dump dirty …
don’t dump dirty water in your driveway that runs to local rivers. dump it in your toilet where it can get treated (hopefully well).

  4. Agree 100%. But, …
Agree 100%. But, you know, people need to understand that there’s *plenty* that can be done even without a yard. I have a sunny courtyard outside my apt where I grow figs, tomatoes, beans grapes, strawberries, herbs, etc, all in containers. Not in large quantities, but it’s my little piece of paradise. For an excellent book on container gardening: ‘Bountiful Container’, by McGee & Stuckey; not only packed with info but charming.
So, seconded, get yourself some seeds and clippings, today.

  5. Even worse than the …
Even worse than the quality is the fact that they are producing strains that only THEY can reproduce so they can slowly take control of ALL the food. I suggest everyone purchase heritage seeds of sufficient abundance to produce any plant food you need to sustain yourself. The Monsantos of the world need to be destroyed before they take over all of our food!

  6. I always wondered …
I always wondered that myself you know. They sell absolute garbage yet I wonder what they eat themselves. If I it was up to me they’d be eating the garbage they produce.

  7. Down with Monsantos …
Down with Monsantos, Void all patenting of any/all forms of life, Label genetically modified foods!!!

i wanna know what the people at monsantos feed their family… i bet its not mcdonalds

  8. hemp, canibas seed …
hemp, canibas seed oil, THC, Tea, Biomass…. i use all of the weed when i grow. I encourage that all of us home growers(weed and other plants) use all of the plant even if its to convert it into ethanol or methanol(wood ethanol).

  13. You honestly don’t …
You honestly don’t want to eat that corn anyway. I wouldn’t eat ANY corn unless I grow it, or it’s organic. That is the only way to stay away from G.M.O. corn, which makes up about 80% of the corn grown in the U.S.
THe non G.M.O. corn that isn’t sold as organic gets mixed right in with the G.M.O. corn since there is no law requiring labeling in the U.S.

  14. Ok, so who here is …
Ok, so who here is going to go out in their yard today and plant some veggie seeds? Stop thinking you need someone to teach you and just do it and you will learn from your mistakes. Compost is key, get non-hybrid seeds so you can save them to use again. It’s not rocket science & it is really fun to eat food you’ve grown. Go get some seed today.

  15. Given that 30% of …
Given that 30% of the US corn crop is going to ethanol fuel not food, and the Mexicans are protesting because the price of corn is so high for their tortillas — your question is very appropriate.

  16. Are they trying to …
Are they trying to create an artificial famine? Like Stalin did to the Ukrainians in the early 1930’s? (its been tried)

  20. I don’t believe you …
I don’t believe you people. The Department of Homeland Security (before Napalitano) advised Americans to have a minimum of 3 month food supply on hand…actually, a 3 day travel pack style and a 3 month.

  21. I love growing …
I love growing stuff and keep chickens too. It is great to eat food you have cultivated yourself. My YT channel is all about it. If they make it illegal put me in prison.

  22. If this Bill passes …
If this Bill passes (it will) no one who is not a government approved, certified grower, using the technologies outlined in the bill, will not be allowed to grow produce.
All food, weather produce or animal, raised will be monitored for potential natural, and unnatural contamination.
Already all livestock must be registered and chipped with the RFID, that includes every chicken, duck and goose.
Look up on web, Amish and the RFID. They are about to loose their farms. HR875 will clinch it
