What are the hottest green start up companies in Silicon Valley?

I am trying to compile a list of all of the current green (by green I mean any company working on sustainability issues) startups in Silicon Valley so that I can catagorize them, determine the amount of funding they have raised and how many jobs they have created. I plan on sharing them on a new green blog that I am launching at the end of January. I’ll send out an invite to remind everyone who taggs me as a contact inside of Y! Answers.

What criteria were you thinking of using to detemine which companies qualify? If you give us some parameters, I think the Yahoo community would be willing to offer suggestions.

Let me give you one name to start, Nanosolar who sells cutting edge solar panels.

Hey, you wouldn’t be the Steve Newcomb of Powerset (I mean formerly) would you? You look like him.
