How can I test for non-conventional pollution in water?
I’m doing a project on water quality and the effect of temperature on the quality. I need a way to measure non-conventional pollution. How can I do this?…What kind of kit will I need to test this?
If possible, can you give me the cheapest way? I can’t spend too much money on this project…Thanks.
What is non conventional pollution? I occasionaly test water for pollutants such as desolved metals, suspended solids and bacteria along with a whole lot of other things but never had to test for "non-conventional"
well you can test the ph for part of it. litmus paper is very cheap..you can get it at a pet store in the fish section.

The first thing is to define non-conventional. If it is anything that is legally considered polution, there is a testing protocol established for it by the EPA along with defined limits as to what is or is not an actionable level. Tell me some of the things you are considering testing for and I can see how easily you can test for it.

I am with an environmental & civil engineering firm and take samples to be tested. You are talking my line of work.
