All development causes environmental damage. As long as the human race exists there is no way to reverse the loss of environmental resources.

Sustainable development is a political term applied to development that benefits the organization that decides what is, or is not, sustainable. The United Nations has no influence over decisions that affect real economic development, so it should do nothing.
