Otherwise we need to have an ever increasing food supply to feed the additional people. I do not think that is a good plan and it is something I do not want governments to do. When I became a practicing consultant in the field of agriculture in the 1960's we were going to run out of food by the 1980's. Did not happen. We have done a pretty good job of handling the increased population and now the projection is about 2050. Bet we don't run out then either unless we follow some of the wants of the animal rightists and other kooks.
