is embodied energy a good measure of environmental sustainability in construction and…?

are companies realising and utilising this? please respond if you are involved within the industry

All we hear about these days is the use of sustainable materials in construction, I personally don’t see the need because as the government would have you believe the world will end due to global warming so to heck with it. I know this doesn’t answer your question but thought i’d say it anyway. And out of curiosity what area are you involved in?
