They definitely help and make your soap foamier, etc …. but do NOT water your plants with softened water … it will kill them!

I need to drill a water well in a rural area in southern Ohio. I’ve been told to have a reputable person dowse or "witch" the well to decide on the best location. Has anybody ever done this? There’s plenty of anecdotal evidence that it really does work. Thanks!
