My Bloodhound puppy is 9 months old. Almost every time he drinks water he throws it back up.?
When he throws up it is only water and slime and the occasional kibble. he is on good dog food DIAMOND CHICKEN AND RICE NATURALS, we do have well water (this is a new switch from our rural water). I herd of BLAP DISEASE, but don’t know what it is or how i can cure it. he has a raised water dish but he is about 2 foot tall and the dish is about 1 foot tall. Should i try a Water Bottle?
I raise bloodhounds, and I can tell you that this is not a common problem with them, at all.
As you have stated, you raise the dishes.. and that is the best you can do for him at that point.
But he DOES need to see a vet.
This is not normal behaviour.
If he is drink too fast, or eating too fast, then you need to give him water in very small quantities, and allow NO excersize after he has eaten.
As I am sure you know, a common problem with them is bloat, and eliminating ANY exercise after they have eaten/drank will reduce problems along those lines.
But vomitting food and water is not normal.
Take him to the vet.
If you have any more questions about bloodhounds, feel free to email me and I’d be very happy to help.

Is China’s military strength overstated?
http://www.peopleforum.cn/viewthread.php?tid=6223&extra=page%3D1
China’s military strength ranks second in the world in terms of expenditure, the number of troops and weaponry, according to a report released Thursday by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
The data provokes many questions from scholars and the public, though the government think tank emphasized the ranking was just based on selected factors and is not a comparison of real military power of the concerned countries.
The US, Japan and Germany rank as the top three in terms of comprehensive national strength and China is in seventh place, according to the Report on Comprehensive National Power Assessment, which evaluated the militaries of 11 countries, including seven Western countries and Brazil, Russia, India and China, the so-called BRICs.
The evaluation index includes five direct constituent elements – territory and natural resources, population, economy, military and science and technology – and four influencing factors – social development, sustainability, security and domestic politics and international contributions, it said.
To the surprise of many, China’s military power ranks second, with a total score of 33.3, behind the US, which scores 90.08, and just ahead of Russia, with 31.08.
"The high rank of China is mainly because it gets a higher score in terms of troop numbers and equipment," the report said. (Global Times)
A nation’s ‘firepower’ should mainly depend on its combat and maneuver abilities, both of which are really wanting for the Chinese troops. Besides, China’s military equipment is also far from having an edge over others.
They are working on their first aircraft carrier. The USA is having problems maintaining its 11 carrier fleet.
They are building ten new ships a year. The USA is retiring 10 ships a year and only building 5. The US Navy is smaller now than it was in 1917 with less than 300 ships. If nothing changes, China will have a bigger navy by 2020, excluding carriers. Many think that the Battleship was the ship of WW ONE, the carrier was the ship of WW TWO and the submarine will be the ship of the next conflict.
They are making advanced fighters and other planes. The USA on the other hand spent billions developing the B2 bomber, only to make 20 and now has only 19. It spent billions developing the F22 and has stopped production at less than 200. And the same kind of cuts are already being talked about for the F35. The USA is close to losing its pure numerical advantage and will soon lose its technological advantage.
China is already challenging the US Navy at sea. It is flying its planes very close to our, causing at least one air to air crash with the result of a top secret spy plane landed on Chinese land, giving them the ability to strip it down and look it over. Their ships are also playing chicken with our ships. They would not be doing that if they did not think they soon will be able to make us back down.
The 20th century was the Century of the USA….it looks like the 21st Century will be the Century of China..
You did not think the USA would stay #1 forever did you?
What are the effects of chemical pollution on water pollution?
we have a long project on water pollution and i need ur help in this one cuz im not finding enough information. nd thanks if u helped me :):)
Acid rain is a pollution problem. Small amounts of Sulfur and its oxides in the air combine with cloud moisture to produce acid rain. This acid rain washes into lakes, streams, and rivers having a negative impact on the wildlife that lives there.

how do you say environmental sustainability in french?
As in the context of this sentence
Japan is the leader in environmental sustainability in the world.
Environmental sustainability in the sense that they develop without destroying earth’s resources.
I think it is "la viabilité environnemental" but I don’t think that’s right. =( please help
Thanks
Depending on your context you’d use one of two phrases. Usually you’d use "durabilité environnementale" but it could also be "protection de l’environnement".

what are some ways to develop a plan to improve the sustainability and livability of a city?
Look at the community in which you live and develop a plan to improve the sustainability and livability of the city (if you are in a major city look in your area/neighborhood of the city). Can greenbelts be added: Are there bike trails, bike lanes, or wide sidewalks? Can areas be made into parks? Can trees be planted to sequester carbon and shade streets, sidewalks and buildings? Define what is meant by the terms sustainability and livability and how they relate to cities.
There are organizations that already exists to help small towns do exactly what you are chatting about: www.htccommunity.org/ is one such organization.
I am writing an essay about fishing in which i have to find three issues what is one good issue?
in that issue i need to have how it affects stakeholders, a case study , visuals, sustainability and how it affects the environment.
thankyou

Check out the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust website. http://www.tarbone.org/ They are a great outfit that is trying to ensure that bonefish, tarpon and permit, the so-called grand slam of flats fishing down south, will be readily available for generations ahead.

Well, you look at the recent plans of Victoria, Australia’s Sustainability Plans. They decided to invent rooftop gardens in the city. It is great because the tall building are filled with plants. However, the city is still filled with non-rooftop garden buildings.
Is it ok to water your container plant with warm water during the cold?
I am not using hot water. Just mildly warm to get the chill out. I have a Tomato plant I am experimenting with and have been taking it in the garage during freezes and am wondering if using warm water is ok or will it kill it?
We live in North Florida so the weather is cold during the evenings but warms up to the 60’s during the day.
Thanks!
Temperature changes cause a shock to the plant. Ideally, the water you use should be the same temperature as the soil around the plant.
This is most easily achieved by leaving your full watering can out next to the plant for a couple of hours before watering.
what is science not doing to help water pollution?
and how is the economy affecting water pollution?
i dont know about the first one but
for the economy there is a lot ofcompetitionn so peopledon’tt care where they
throw away all the chemicals in lakes and alot of fresh water places. they justdon’tt care that what they are doing is not going to help them out, all they care about is the money they make.
Laura, I think your question contains the answer. People don’t care, and
many of them just don’t believe that WE are the problem. It is nice to know
that you are thinking of pollution and ways to solve the problem.
is embodied energy a good measure of environmental sustainability in construction and…?
are companies realising and utilising this? please respond if you are involved within the industry
All we hear about these days is the use of sustainable materials in construction, I personally don’t see the need because as the government would have you believe the world will end due to global warming so to heck with it. I know this doesn’t answer your question but thought i’d say it anyway. And out of curiosity what area are you involved in?
