What can be done to protect the water line?

We purchased a Reverse Osmosis water purifyer from Sears that has fixed that problem! the water is so much better and the ice cubes are crystal clear! you may spend around $300 but we have had ours over 10 years and it is still doing the job! we change filters every 6 months

Just wondering. I tested some out at macy’s and tried rubbing it offa my hand. I rubbed so hard that it turned red and it still didn’t budge. So I decided to buy it… soooooo worth the expense! But I was just wondering what ingredient is in it that makes it so water resistant.

Cottonseed oil and silica. The ingredients are listed on the web site

Where do I start my search to find water quality reports for any city. Reports of contents found in water, quality, and cleaniness, etc.

Call your water company and ask for their latest CCR (Consumer Confidence Report but sometimes described as "Customer Can’t Read").

Also, you are missing two commas in the first sentence. Insert them after "example" and "schools". Even with commas added, the first sentence is quite awkward.

In India nil.

In US some but not many.Especially down South.

The world’s cleanest car is worth checking out. It should be on the market in 2008. It runs on compressed air. I think it will be cheaper than the hydrogen car.

Just remember that water conservation comes down to your habits more than the products you use. A low flow toilet doesn’t help if you flush three times and a low pressure shower head isn’t making any difference if you take 2 hour long showers.

We have just purchased a home with a salt water softener. The water is all foamy and cloudy when it comes out of the faucet and there is no bypass - ALL the water in the house runs through it. There are 4 of us and 3 pets. Is it healthy/safe to drink softened water or should we get a water cooler for drinking and cooking?

If it has a water purifier than it’s fine, however the softener has just that in it, softener. I recommend the PUR system that hooks onto your faucet. They even have the one that has flavored cartridges so you can drink both plain and flavored. It’s available at Target for about $50. It’s alot cheaper than buying bottled water which runs around $5 for every 24 bottles you buy. Hope this helps!;)

P.S. Water has flouride but you can get flouride in ACT mouthwash now. It’s more important for you to drink water that’s purified than to worry about flouride. I’ve been in dental for almost 20 yrs and the ACT is wonderful and you only use it once a day, preferrably before bed.
